I'm just getting around to readying Who Hates Whom by Bob Harris. I wish I hadn't waited so long. It's a quick read about conflicts around the world, and Mr. Harris (who also wrote a book about his stint on Jeopardy! called Prisoner of Trebekistan) has a great sense of humor that keeps you from falling into despair.
