That's a vast overstatement. The past year or so has been disastrous for the greedyand venal attempt to destroy Freddy's and otherwise damage the neighborhood:

Yeah, you're right. I think I was just trying to convey to non-NYers the sense of protectiveness we feel about the place. Having just listened to that blues, I overstepped.
